KCCA FC announces that talented midfielder Umar Lutalo has officially signed a new two-year contract, extending his stay at the club following the expiration of his initial six-month agreement.

Umar joined KCCA FC in January and signed a six-month contract with an option to renew upon expiration.

Lutalo did not have the perfect start when he came in, but later integrated into the squad and had impactful performances, quickly impressing the coaching staff with his contributions in the midfield and left wing back.

I am happy to sign this new contract with KCCA FC. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. The coaches, my teammates, and the fans have all shown me support,” Lutalo said before adding.

This is a big club with big ambitions, and I am eager to contribute my part in achieving our goals and bringing success to Lugogo. I cannot wait to get back on the pitch and fight for this badge,” he added.

The new deal confirms KCCA FC’s commitment to building a strong and stable squad, retaining key players who align with the club’s long-term vision.

Lutalo is expected to bolster the team’s midfield options as they prepare for the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Lutalo operates as an attacking midfielder and makes excellent runs up front down the left wing, on top of having a thunderous shot from distance.

He previously featured for SC Villa, where he spent three seasons and won the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League title before joining Kitara FC.

Umar also featured for the Uganda U20 side (Hippos) at the AFCON U20 in Egypt 2023 and was part of the Uganda Cranes squad for the ongoing 2026 World Cup qualifier games against Somalia, Guinea, and Botswana.
