Walukagga\u2019s selection last month drew mixed reactions, with many critics questioning his competence and readiness to represent the constituency in Parliament, especially against seasoned politician Medard Segona, who is now running as an independent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to the criticism, Walukaaga maintained that his focus is not on parliamentary debates or fluency in English, but on delivering tangible services to the people of Busiro East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019m going to Parliament to serve my people, not to speak English,\u201d he said. \u201cI want to bring services closer to my people. From my first salary, I will build wells across the whole constituency. My goal is to work for the common person, not to compete in speaking English every day in Parliament.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The veteran musician emphasized that his priority is community development, promising to use his platform to uplift ordinary citizens rather than focus on political rhetoric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
